Mission

The Religious Education Program of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish provides programs for children from four years of age to those junior high school students receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Pre-K

The “I Am Special” Program is for children who are four years of age. These children meet on Sunday mornings during 9:30a.m. Mass.

The formal Religious Education Program begins with Kindergarten. From Kindergarten through Grade 6 a developmental program is used with the “We Believe” series, published by William H. Sadlier, Inc.

Kindergarten and Grade 1

The children learn basic doctrine concerning the way God shows His love for them through creation, the gifts of Jesus, Mary, Jesus Mother, the Holy Spirit, and the Church.

Grade 2

Students learn more about God and belief in God are introduced to the sacraments of initiation, and the sacrament of Reconciliation. They are also introduced to the Mass.
