To have your parish organization’s event or activity submitted for publication in the local press, please send your information to Laura Ferrante Fernandes, Publicity Chairperson, 22 Evergreen drive, Woodbridge, CT 06525 or email to lorenzina@msn.com. Please do not hesitate to call Laura (393-2434) if you wish to discuss your article in advance. Understand that newspaper editors reserve the right on what is to be published.

Please send this information at least one month in advance.

Information after events

Should be sent as soon as possible after the event so that the news can

be published in a timely fashion.

Format for the Articles - Include the Following

1. Who - Who are the people involved, e.g. chairpersons, volunteers,

winners, people receiving the benefits of the service, etc.?

2. What - Describe what occurred by telling me about the event or the

service with details of interest.

3. When - What is the time frame.

4. Where - Where will the event take place?

5. Why - Why is the parish/committee doing this?

Photographs

Please include photos (at least ten (10), they may be different). Photos will enhance our opportunities to have the article published. Please do not expect the return of the photos. Either color or black and white will be accepted. For photographs, include the names of the people going from left to right along with the event and any other information. Do not forget to include your name, telephone number and address.
Please note: Digital format for photos is preferred, but they can also be mailed.
